Currajah Alpacas was established by Garry and Lyn Hopkins
in July of 1994. The operation commenced with four wethers
as a trial to determine the effects of our tropical climate
on Alpaca. The summer of 1994 was particularly "tropical"
and provided a grueling test for our four boys. We were
amazed at the way in which they coped.
In 1995, we introduced our first females and began breeding.
The Stud has prospered from that time, and today consists
of thirty Alpacas.
